Planning Strategies

Planning Strategies
Due to a chaotic home life, with temporary hospitalisation of a family member it has been essential to plan carefully, small amounts of time to be used effectively to manage the ongoing blog creation. Lots of things I want to do with it, but not having the necessary time to do all the things that I would like to do in its creation.

Planning not only for the blog but also for the rest of the day has been essential in making the best use of time. This only really happened when I started to write things down.  The main advantage I found it gave me was one of feeling productive when not being able to get to the computer. Up to this point everything related to the blog had been done only on the computer.

Now when something comes to mind I will write it down so I can go over it at a later date. When you see different ideas together it can lead to something you might not have thought about. It also makes the process fluid with plenty of crossing out and changes of ideas.

It’s not the comprehensive blue print to success but it keeps me on track.

As yet I still have to fill in the about me section on my own. Some really interesting people out there and interested in so many different things. Wow! What talent. Just the great variety of headers and different styles of writing is amazing.

  1. Andrew,

Good post. I agree with your method of writing things down when you are not at the computer. I do this everyday myself. Good luck with the class and everything else going on in your life. I think everyone likes reading posts about time management since most of us struggle with that issue.

  4. Andrew,

Ahhh…the power of lists! I know they do help, but considering I DON’T like making lists, my time management gets completely out of whack.

The post is great and it reminds me that as much as I hate to, I need to become better at makings a list of tasks to accomplish.

    Thanks for the reminder.
